Happy Tuesday and Happy First Day of October! I’m sure you’ve read about how obsessed I am with Fall I am and for those of you who don’t know I love October! From the weather (I’m missing in Orlando) to the Halloween movies and decor, there’s so much I love about October and the Fall Season! Jeff and I are always looking for fun things to do on weekends and I thought it would be a great idea to share my weekend finds for the month of October!
The Fall Festival at Southern Hills Farms ; Every Weekend in October
I absolutely plan on making this festival my first weekend adventure for the month of October! I have yet to visit and came across this online. Located in Clermont, Southern Hill Farms is known for their Blueberry Fields, Peach Fields, Sunflower Fields and during the Fall season their pumpkin patches. During the Fall Festival at Southern Hill Farms you can find; a Pumpkin Patch, the Sunflower Fields, Big Screen TVs (for the football fans) a bar, hot donuts and apple cider and of course food trucks! There’s no charge to get in so I’ll let you know next week how I liked it!
Haunting Tales at Leu Gardens ; Friday, October 11, 2019
So this event happens to be on a Friday BUT I am so excited for it. One thing my little sister and I love doing together is watching goosebumps and Disney Halloween movies! It’s pretty much our thing. When I heard that Leu Gardens one of my favorite places in Orlando was doing a Haunting Tales night – a night of story tellers coming out one by one to tell Goosebumps stories complete with food, drinks and treats and best of all alcohol is permitted! Lakeridge Winery BBQ and Blues Festival ; October 11-13, 2019
One of the best dates Jeff ever took me on was at Lakeridge Winery however it wasn’t for a festival – it was just a regular day! It’s a great winery here in Orlando that does tours AND tastings and this October they’re doing their huge BBQ and Blues Festival! During this weekend Lakeridge will have the nation’s top BBQ Rib Competitors from all around the country to compete in an epic battle for the top spot as the Lakeridge Winery “Rib Champion”! Food, Fun, Music, Crafts and of Course Wine, what more could you want!
IMMERSE ; October 18-19, 2019
If you’re into art then IMMERSE is definitely for you! The streets of Downtown Orlando will engulf you in an experience of interactive art, with more than 1,000 artist IMMERSE will bring you performances and art from across the country! From photos, to dance and music, architecture and acrobatics; you’ll find it all at IMMERSE!
Mount Dora Craft Fair ; October 26-27, 2019
I thoroughly enjoy a good Arts ad Crafts Fair, I’m definitely one for little chochkeys around the house especially around the different holidays and seasons and the Mount Dora Crafts Fair is absolutely the best place to find cute little Fall and Christmas decor items for the yard, the home and of course your Front Porch Decor! With over 400 crafters taking the streets there will be plenty of things for you to check out all while listening to music and have a nice drink in hand!
