My Everyday Makeup Routine

Hey Everyone! and Happy Happy Thursday! I hope everyone’s week has been productive thus far, I know mine has! My little sister’s Sweet 16 is this weekend so it’s been a pretty hectic week and I have a girl’s night dinner tonight with some girlfriend’s so my Friday Eve is going to be pretty great! Last week I posted a few selfies and I got tons of questions on my everyday makeup routine and the products I use! From my go to nude lip (perfect for brown skin girls) to the bronzer I use I’m here today to answer all the questions you all have had! #1. PRIMER || THIS is the primer I’ve been using lately and it’s ON SALE! It’s great because I love a primer that feels like a pore filling primer, I love that silicone consistency. It’s SO good and this primer by Wet N Wild is also pretty good!

#2. FOUNDATION || I’ve been LOVING this Juvia’s Place foundation , the formula is thick and creamy and it’s most definitely FULL COVERAGE! I would compare it to this NARS foundation.  Sometimes depending on what the day is going to bring I’ll mix this foundation in. Although I have pretty clear skin I do have some discoloration (in my opinion) so I love a full coverage foundation that’s going to last me all day and having combination skin with a more so oily T-Zone I love a foundation that dries Matte and not dewy!

#3. CONCEALER || This Milani concealer is new to my collection and quickly became a favorite.  It’s nice and creamy and easily blendable and the shade range is to die for literally. I use this under my eyes, done my nose, above my top lip, on my chin and on my forehead! Highlight girl, highlight! I like to dab THIS elf concealer in just the corner of my eye because the shades are so off.  The medium beige is definitely what I would consider porcelain. The two together however give me the perfect highlight and for under $20 for both you seriously can’t beat that!

#4. SETTING POWDER || For a long time I used THIS Laura Mercier setting powder but it became a bit expensive for me, especially since I’m a more so oily girl who bakes!  I then made the switch to the Makeup Revolution Setting Powder but found it to be a bit too cakey so now I’m using the Airspun Setting Powder and I love it.  I use this setting powder to set only the areas I used my concealer on and then I’ll go back and set basically my jaw line after a contour with a powder bronzer.  My favorite tool for setting my concealer is a beauty blender ( a different one from the one I use for my foundation and concealer)

#5. CONTOUR || I will sometimes contour with a cream stick (Dermablend) when I’m doing a night out face but for an everyday look I like to contour my cheeks, forehead, nose and jawline with THIS Morphe Bronzer and my Mac Cosmetics NW48 Studio Fix Powder. I find for my complexion it’s the perfect mix of cool and warm and this Real Techniques Fluffy brush is perfect!

#6. BLUSH || Lately I’ve loved this Wet N Wild Blush. It’s the perfect peachy pink for girl’s who want a more subtle look of color in the cheeks!

#7. HIGHLIGHTER || Still completely obsessed with Mac Cosmetics Gold Deposit and if you can ever get your hands on it then I highly recommend! I use highlighter on my cheeks ( just around my temples really) my nose, cupid’s bow and chin.  For a while I was using the Mario Badescu spray to wet my brush a little but with the Gold Deposit it’s so pigmented that you really don’t need to.

#8. BROWS || Now my brows definitely determine on weekday or week night and what exactly I have planned for the day but for an everyday relaxed look I use THIS Morphe Pencil in Chocolate Mousse.  I was using this NYX Cosmetic Pencil but have found that I like the feel of the Morphe more.  It’s almost less waxy and I found sets into my brows better.  I then use the NYX Cosmetics Tinted Brow Mascara in the color Espresso to lay my brows down and secure them.  Seriously the BEST combo you will come across. I couple my brows and my eyelashes together.  ( shadows is something I’ll typically only use when I’m doing a full look or I’ll just bring my bronzer into my crease! For my Mascara I live for the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.  Now I don’t know about being better than sex but it really is the best Mascara – no primer needed!

#9. LIPS || This 3 product combo has been my go to lip combo for as long as I can remember!  The Jordana Cosmetics COCO LOCO Lip Liner (from Walgreens) is less than $2 and seriously the absolute best lip liner I’ve ever come across  Girls I buy this liner in 3s.  I’ll couple this with my Milani Matte Naked lipstick and top it off with THIS Mac Cosmetics gloss in the color Lust! All three together make for the most perfect Nude Lip comb, especially for us brown skin girls!
