Ladies! It’s Wednesday and you know what that means! It’s Wedding Wednesday which means for you all I have a wedding post. This past Saturday Jeff and I booked our wedding venue! Well sort of, we had our site and our date was available so our name is on the calendar! It’s officially ours when we pay the deposit on June 1 when they can officially give us a contract(most venues don’t book farther than a year out). It feels great being able to check such a MAJOR thing off the to – do list of wedding planning and I must say this venue is pure perfection. It is everything we (I) have dreamed off. So classic and romantic yet extravagant and detailed. I’ve literally been showing photos of this venue to Jeff since before he proposed and it’s a dream come true to know we will be exchanging vows there! I know I’ve been terrible with the “Wedding Wednesday” posts but now that we have a venue booked the posts will be rolling in!
What We Wanted
Jeff and I knew from the get go what our wedding style was so finding a venue wasn’t a difficult decision. I knew I wanted a clean and classic color palette of black and white with tickles of gold and perhaps red here and there. A venue that said Gatsby without needing feathers, a large open space with touches of old glamour and elegance and that’s exactly what we found! Deciding on a date in June and living in Florida we pretty much knew an outdoor wedding was out of the question, so with our venue having an outdoor courtyard to be utilized for cocktail hour it was the perfect mixture of indoor and outdoor! It was important to me that my venue be a space that was so great on its own that I wouldn’t need a ton of decor to dress it up. A ton candles and pretty much no florals is what I’m envisioning.
