The other day (as I was switching from my work bag to a smaller bag) I thought a great blog post would be the 5 handbags that every woman should have in her closet! Something for everyone! If you’re interested then keep reading!
The Basic Black Bag
My basic black bag is my Henri Bendel Black Croc Embossed Carlyle. This bag is perfection for me, it’s large enough to fit all my essentials and then some, it’s black with silver hardware and has not only the top handles but a cross body strap as well. I think every woman should have a basic black bag that can be worn on any occasion.
A Casual Bag
Every woman should have a bag that’s pretty neutral in color and can be worn on a night out for dinner and drinks, to the gym on a Saturday morning or to work. For me that bag is definitely my Louis Vuitton Speedy 35. Checkout my post on why every woman needs a Louis Vuitton Speedy here. But for now I think this handbag is the perfect casual day look, perfect with any outfit.
A Tote
My go to tote is my Henri Bendel gingham lined black leather tote. Now if your tote is black then it can certainly double as your basic black bag but every woman absolutely needs a tote. Whether you have children and you’re carrying wipes and diapers, or your jetting from airport to airport, even if you’re going into the office everyday, a tote is o perfect in any instance. When I’m carrying my tote you’ll find inside my: make up bag, sunglasses, wallet, perfume, agenda, keys and much more!
A Clutch
My go to clutch is this vintage Gucci makeup bag that my mother purchased many moons ago! I absolutely love this bag anti makes the most perfect clutch! I’ve worn this bag during many nights out, from dinner to the night club and even to a few weddings. I would suggest a clutch that is a little more neutral in color ( a black, navy or nude)
Fun and Funky Handbag
Whether fun and funky to you is bag color, style or design, a handbag that’s different and/or eye catching is a handbag every woman needs in her closet. I like to consider my Henri Bendel Barrow Street Satchel as my fun and funky bag because the bright teal color is so fun and the band detail across the front gives the bag some extra pizazz.
