10 Ways to Love a Happy and Healthy Life

As Spring/Summer roll back around I find it very fitting to post my 10 ways again, why? because I swear by them

1. WHEN YOU LOOK GOOD, YOU FEEL GOOD

Often when I feel down I make it a point to put a lot into my appearance that day. When I do my hair and make up and put on a nice outfit I look in the mirror and I look good therefore I feel good.

2. LET GO

You can’t control everything, learn to let go and just live!

3. LIVE LIFE

You can’t take everything to serious, when you’re older you want to look back on life and think to yourself how much you enjoyed it.

4. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE DOING GREAT THINGS

I hate the phrase “birds of a feather flock together” because I don’t fully believe in it and frankly I think it can be complete bullshit.  I enjoy having an eclectic group of friends who are different from me, who have different experiences and can show me different things.  However all of those people no matter how different from you should all be positive people who are doing or aspiring to do great things in life and inspire you to do the same.

5.MAKE DECISIONS FOR YOURSELF

I understand you always want to make people happy and that’s natural because we are all people pleasers when it comes to our families, relationships and work but sometimes you have to say forget about everyone else’s happiness.  Never sacrifice your happiness for the happiness of someone who does absolutely nothing for you.  Do what’s right for you because in the end you have to live with it.

6. DONT COMPARE YOUR BEHIND THE SCENE FOOTAGE TO SOMEONE ELSE’S HIGHLIGHT REEL

You don’t see everyone’s struggle because they don’t always show it, people only show what they want you to see, the positives in their lives, the good things and you can’t compare what you’re going through to what you see someone else your same age or whatever it may be going through because you don’t know their story. Everyone experiences different trials to get to where they are and want to be!

7. BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF AND SET NO EXPECTATIONS

When you have an expectation you are setting yourself up for a possible failure or hurt.  Like I said just let go and live life.  Let life happen and expect nothing from it, good or bad you won’t be disappointed.

8. HAVE ME TIME

If you aren’t happy alone then you can never truly be happy with someone else; sometimes cook yourself dinner, have a drink, read a book or a magazine or just listen to some music. Spend time by yourself to do what you like to do. Remember alone and lonely are two VERY different things.

9. EAT GOOD DRINK GOOD

Lately I’ve made the decision to eat healthier and I’ve been drinking more water, I feel great and not just on the outside but on the inside.  You’ll feel more energized and you’ll be happy.

10. OPEN YOURSELF UP TO NEW THINGS

Sometimes changing your surroundings can help you broaden your horizons.  Meet new people and discover new things.  It’s easy to become frustrated when you’re in the same place around the same people constantly and it’s great to get away and see new things!

Live by these 10 rules and I promise life will be happy and healthy
