With having been on lock down for the majority of 2020 it was definitely easy to slip into a season of unhappiness. I think we were all forced to really look at ourselves and see what brought us joy and we started to revel in those things! I’ve decided to curate a list of 5 ways to live in happiness! The key to happiness through being active is to be active for 7 minutes a day! Yes, it’s scientifically proven!! Something about endorphins in the body being released at the 7 minute mark. So whether you go for a 7 minute walk, do some morning yoga or even just do a quick living room work out, get active!!
ENJOY SOME ME TIME
If you ask me one of the best ways to be happy in life is to know when you need some alone time! Some of my favorite ways to spend time with myself are to get lost in a good book, enjoy a nice bubble bath or even to grab my headphones and to enjoy a manicure and pedicure! As much as I enjoy social interaction I also enjoy some nice time to myself.
I know I just said enjoy some me time but one thing that will definitely make you happy is being social! As humans we thrive on social interaction so spend some time with family and friends! Whether that means going to dinner or happy hour with friends to enjoying family for Sunday Dinner, grab a bottle of wine or some cake and spend some time with your loved ones!
DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS
Comparison truly is the thief of joy and people will only ever you show you their ups NEVER their downs! Remember when you start comparing yourself to what you see others have and where they are you’ll start to let thoughts of self doubt come in and they will really rock your mental state!
FIND YOUR PASSION
I think it’s extremely important for our mental health and happiness to really find what our passions are and to find a way to incorporate our passions into everyday life so we can bring ourselves happiness. Personally my passions is fashion so putting together my outfit everyday is something small that brings me joy! I’ve found my passions and I’m able to incorporate it into my everyday life!
