Let’s Talk Handbags!!

In real life it is no secret that I am handbag OBSESSED! Like truthfully my love for handbags is kind of pathetic and this girl LOVES a designer handbag. Over the years I have curated quite the collection and find myself utilizing the same handbags for the same occasions over and over again! I thought I would share some of my most used handbags and some that I absolutely love so if you’re into handbags then keep reading!

MY HANDBAG WITH THE MOST SENTIMENTAL VALUE

My Henri Bendel Mini Carryall Satchel is a handbag that I hardly ever wear but will NEVER get rid of! Long story short, on my 26th birthday Jeff look me to my beloved Henri Bendel to buy me a birthday gift (later I found out he was really trying to stall for time). I picked this handbag out because it matched my birthday outfit, mind you I had no idea where we were going. I switched into the bag and he then took my to my surprise birthday party complete with friends and family that had both flown and driven into town. That surprise birthday party turned into a surprise engagement and this bag will forever remind me of that!

MY MOST USED HANDBAG

It’s no secret that for years I wanted a Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere in the 25 size and in April of 2019 I finally purchased one in the Damier Azur Canvas. I wore this bag exclusively for months, day in and day out! This purchase came after selling my LV Speedy 35 in the classic Monogram Canvas after I had realized I needed that crossbody/shoulder strap. This bag in my opinion is the perfect everyday bag, small enough to comfortably be a handsfree cross body but large enough to fit EVERYTHING you could possibly need!

NEWEST HANDBAG

After 2 years of eyeing this bag everywhere from on Instagram and Pinterest to Youtube and on ever trip to Neimen Marcus with my mother I finally purchased the Yves Saint Laurent LouLou Toy Bag in Black Calfskin leather with Silver hardware and boy, am I glad I did! This handbag is the ultimate understated look! Its definitely small and enables me to only carry the necessities but looks good with every outfit! Whether I’m in Jeans, a Blazer and Heels or Sweats a Crop Top and Sneakers, this handbag lends an effortless cool look! It’s definitely a pretty penny but I promise it is so worth it!

BEST HANDSFREE BELTBAG

One place I LOVE to shop for handbags is my mother’s closet! ( Hi Mom!!) I’m still trying to get a YSL cardcase out of here but one thing I did get from her is this vintage Louis Vuitton Florentine PM Belt Bag and you guys, this bag is EVERYTHING. I mean all you can fit in it is a lippie, a card case and maybe your keys but hey; your hands are for holding your phone right? This bag looks so good around the waist regardless of what you have on! This belt bag is no longer made or sold and can only be purchased on the secondhand market but if you’re lucky enough to come across one I say snag it on sight! You won’t be disappointed.

MY DATE NIGHT GO TO

I’m going to be honest in saying this bag gives me Chanel vibes on a much moe affordable price point and I love pulling it out of the dust bag for a sleek date night look with m husband! For my 26th birthday my parent’s got me the Coach Parker Bag in Black Leather with Antiqued Gold Hardware and I wore this bag day in and day out for almost that entire year! IT’s now become a date night go to because of how it elevates almost every look! The inside is lined with suede which is very luxe and the size is perfect. I also love that due to the length and style of the chain it can easily be a shoulder bag or a cross body bag without having to eliminate any part of the chain! This bag comes in so many different color and leather variations and can be found in Coach or just about any department store.

MY COOL GIRL HANDBAG

I feel like this next handbag screams I’m such a cool girl! Let me give you a short backstory; I was in the pedicure chair getting my toes done for my wedding when a girl walked in with this Pink Jelly Marc Jacobs Snapshot Bag and it was an instant love story! Fast forward to our honeymoon, Jeff and I walked into Bloomingdales and although the didn’t have the Jelly they did have this color way amongst many others and I was hooked! I’ve been pulling this bag out ever since when my outfit needs an extra OOMF!

A VINTAGE BEAUTY

I don’t know how long I had wanted a Fendi Baguette, probably since I was old enough to comprehend the bag on Sex And The City and although I didn’t get one, on my quest for the perfect baguette I came across this Vintage Fendi Zucchino Shoulder Bag and for an under $300 price point and the like new condition of course I snagged it! It was my congrats for getting a new job gift to myself and I pull it out whenever I can!
