Five of Orlando’s Hidden Gems

Welcome to Orlando Florida!

But honestly, let’s be real with ourselves Orlando is a huge city with tons of places to have a good time.  It isn’t all about Disney and the theme parks, we aren’t all 5 years old.  Now don’t get me wrong even at 22 years old I do still enjoy the occasional funnel cake and photo with Daffy Duck but sometimes I want to grab some fresh flowers or have a craft cocktail!

Well for those of you like me who are either visiting the wonderful city of Orlando or who live here and are looking for things to do, here is a list (in no particular order) of hidden and not so hidden gems here in Orlando. Let’s get started!

1. The Lake Eola Farmers Market

Are you into an eclectic group of people, fresh coconut water (right out of the coconut), homemade soaps and candles and much much more? We then every Sunday from 10AM to 4PM on Lake Eola Downtown Orlando.  Enjoy live music with beer and wine in the garden if you find yourself wanting to grab a seat.  At the Farmer’s Market you’ll find fresh flowers, food prepared in front of you, fresh produce, fun for the kids and the pets and of course arts and crafts.  Find one of a kind jewelry, seasonal fruits, and much much more.

2. Olde 64

One of Orlando’s newer bars, Olde 64 is the definition of a Big City Bar.  With a new age cheers feel Olde 64 is definitely a must go to in Orlando.  Craft beers, craft cocktails, bartenders who actually want to talk to you, darts, crazy cool decor AND a jukebox, Olde 64 definitely on my list of 5 Gems in Orlando.

3. Spice Steakhouse

Whether you’re a brunch on the weekends person sipping Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, a steak or sushi kind of person or you want a chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries Spice has something for you, I know trust me I go there for lunch twice a week.  With a super friendly staff and a patio that gives you a view of Lake Eola and all the beauties around it, this is a place that everyone will love.  Right on Central BLVD there’s shops and much more around to enjoy.

4. BB Kings

Okay so if you’re visiting then chances are you’re near I Drive anyway, (no offense but all the tourists are near I drive) and if you live here then it’s nothing to make the drive n over.  Introducing BB Kings, live music, a killer crowd and food and drinks that rival almost every there place in Orlando! A New Orleans atmosphere right here in Orlando, BB Kings has a vibe in the air that takes you away!

If i could’ve gotten a photo of my Shrimp and Grits I would’ve but I ate them to quickly!

5. Kings Bowl

Whether you want to bowl or you want to have dinner and drinks Kings Bowl (which is right near the Orlando EYE)(that should be on the list but I’m too scared to get on it) is the perfect weekend night fun time.  If bars and clubs aren’t you’re thing than Kings Bowl is for you.  Once again on I Drive Kings Bowl is a huge Bowling Alley with killer lights and an atmosphere that breathes let loose into the air, not to mention the many flavored fish bowls on their menu!
