There are few nights every year that we all anxiously wait for, well tonight is one of those nights. The Met Gala. Every year bloggers worldwide wait for this night to see what the biggest stars will be wearing on that red carpet and here I have photos of; Riri, Anna Wintour, Zendaya and so many more! A red carpet full of models, stars, designers and fashions elite, this years theme was China; Through the Looking Glass so let’s see who was working with the theme and who was just looking great!
Let’s Get Started;
Rihanna, I’m starting with you. If we go based on the theme you nailed it, if we go based of risk taking you nailed it. Now if we go used off the actually gown I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. sorry fashionistas I know you all loved this but I just can’t. I have no words. However I will say I am impressed with designer Guo Pei for constructing one of the longest trains in human history.
Zendaya looked, sexy, great yet still age appropriate in this high-low Fausto Puglisi dress. The train was so dramatic and was covered in stars. I have nothing to say but simply amazing!
Allison Williams in a lovely and dramatic Giambattista Vali gown
Miley Cyrus certainly surprised me and I;m sure everyone else by toning it down. She was pure perfection in the long sleeve turtleneck Alexander Wang gown. The cut outs and studs added to the look while ever slicked back hair and natural make up were the icing on the cake. Sweetheart you’ve never looked so good!
The lovely Alma Clooney with husband George. Alma is in a red multi-textured John Gallian for Maison Martin Margiela Couture
Kendall Jener was every bit of modelesque in this green crystal embellished Calvin Klein gown. Everything about this look screams perfection, sorry Kim But Kendall was the sister to see tonight!
Zoe Kravitz was stuck in the rocker chic theme from a few years back but nonetheless she looked amaze in the sheer silver Balenciaga gown. Cinched at the waist of course she was snatched and sexy.
Hello Jourdan Dunn. She looked simply stunning in perforated Burberry gown. With her cornrows and the emerald studs she let her dress be the statement and let her accessories do their job!
The queen herself Anna Wintour in none other than an embellished Chanel
Anne Hathaway glowing in a gold Ralph Lauren. Loving the hood aren’t we?
Diane Kruger was shining on the red carpet in an embellished top and bottom set. With a Chanel clutch and a red lip as her pop of color she looked great!
Now I told myself the men weren’t going to make a del appearance in this piece but I am LOVING JB’s jacket. The gold detail in this Balmain jacket gave me all of my life for the night.
Of course the always sexy Jennifer Lopez was showing off her assets in this sheer and red embellished Versace gown.
We can always count n Janelle Monae to not only be in black and white but to keep it sexy in such a classy way. This time she jumped out of her usual menswear look and surprised us with a crop top and pencil skirt from H&M. (who said you had to war a million dollar gown) Paired with a long cape for Met Gala drama and side swept braid I’m definitely here for it.
Joan Smalls was serving in a purple embroidered Cavalli by Peter Dundas gown. She DID that!
Model Karolina Kurkova was showing off those god given legs in a red satin mini kimono by Tommy Hilfiger with Zanotti Snake sandals.
Kim Kardashian West was giving us Beyonce’ circa every year in this sheer embellished Cavalli gown with the feather train. Don’t get me wrong I love the gown and she looks great but Beyonce’ has done this time and time again. (See below)
Mom Kris Jenner looked great in a red turtle neck Balmain gown. We can always count on Kris to look one step above amazing and tonight was no disappointment!
Naomi Campbell… not really loving this custom Burberry but how could I leave the original supermodel diva off the list?
Oh Hello Sienna! I am absolutely loving this red sequin Thakoon suit. You my dear win!
Now we can always count on Carrie Brad… I mean Sarah Jessica Parker to not only impress and steal every eye in the room BUT to have some type of dramatic head piece and tonight she did not different. In a one shoulder and very on theme H&M gown and a Philip Treacy hat she certainly stole the show.
My Lovely Solange Piaget Knowles. Oh how you never disappoint. Leave it to Solange to glide down the red carpet in a Giles dress giving us nothing but drama and leg!
Of course I had to end with the Queen Bey herself Beyonce’ She broke the internet with her Met look and she wasn’t even on the carpet! With this racy sheer and embellished Givenchy number Beyonce’ has hands down WON!
Tell me your thoughts? Who was your favorite and who didn’t you like?
