Introducing 10 year old Cory Nieves, the CEO of his very own business Cory’s Cookies.
Not only am I featuring him because he’s clearly amazing owning his own business at 10 but he is one dapper young man! Cory started his business in efforts to help his mother buy a car after moving from New Jersey to New York. Every Saturday he pulls his Cookie Cart around town selling his various homemade cookies to his many loyal costumers in barbershops, car dealerships and boutiques. Nieves says
his cookies are so good because they’re made with love and absolutely no preservatives!
Cory’s mother said that one day they were riding the bus and he looked at her and said he wanted to get a car because it was cold, she explained to him at the moment it wasn’t possible and he suggested selling hot cocoa and decided to add cookies to the menu!
Nieves says he didn’t know anything bout baking but with some research and changing some ingredients around he perfected the cookie. From starting in his kitchen at home, he built a company that makes over a thousand dollars from selling cookies at $1 a piece, of course he had to move into a commercial space! Cory has incorporated the business and his mother now legally has to do the baking however he is definitely the man in charge! He looks over the Profit and Loss statements and all other financials.
Now I’m amazed at this mini mogul but it goes way beyond his “mogulness”, Cory is now thinking of sing aim at the fashion world, saying he likes Pharrell and would love to have his own clothing line under his brand Mr. Cory. He has made an appearance on the Ellen Show and he has earned over 30,000 followers in his instagram. Cory says there is A LOT more to come but for it’s all confidential
