The Fashion Icon of 2014

This woman has definitely earned her place this year as a fashion icon and overall it girl. Some of you will think I’m completely crazy when you see who I’m thinking of but others will definitely agree. If you can take a moment to look past the dislike you may have for her and assess her overall wardrobe and ability to pair things together you’ll see exactly why I’m saying this. Now it may be the touch of Kanye or it may be the maturing of this wonderful woman but Kim Kardashian West is definitely the Fashion Icon of 2014 and world renowned mens fashion magazine GQ seems to think so as well.

Kimberly Kardashian has gone from an unknown celebrity stylist to a reality star and is now the definition of a sex symbol and a fashion icon. Winning the GQ Woman of the Year award? who would’ve thought. Whether you like her or not, whether you think she’s been “trained and dressed” by Kanye or not you have to recognize that every time this woman steps out her front door she is dressed to the TEE, every hair strand is in place and her make up is perfection. Now this doesn’t exactly make you an icon and if you ask Fashion Industry insider Kelly Cutrone she’ll tell you that Mr and Mrs Wes are hardly fashion icons because they don’t influence the fashion industry but a much as I respect Kelly Cutrone I have to disagree, they influence the general population, the people who aren’t sitting front row at the shows or having dinner with Valentino in his personal home. Kim Kardashion West is a fashion icon to young women all over and as much as Kelly would like to say she doesn’t, I believe she does influence designers.
