When we first got the keys to our home almost six months ago, I couldn’t wait to start turning these walls into a reflection of us. From paint swatches and furniture deliveries to cozy touches that make everyday life feel special, this season of settling in has been equal parts exciting and grounding.

Making It Our Space

The first thing I wanted was for our home to feel warm and welcoming. Little by little, we’ve layered in textures and personal touches—neutral tones with pops of seasonal décor, framed memories, fresh flowers, and cozy corners that invite you to slow down. Creating a space that feels collected over time, rather than rushed, has been my favorite part of the journey.

Hosting Milestones

One of the biggest joys of having our own home is the chance to host loved ones. In just six months, we’ve already celebrated some beautiful gatherings:

Easter Brunch – A table filled with fresh blooms, pastel accents, and a spread of spring-inspired dishes.

Mother’s Day – A celebration of the women in our lives, made extra special with thoughtful touches and a cozy meal at home.

Everyday Gatherings – From casual dinners with friends to impromptu game nights, our home has already become a backdrop for so many memories.

Each occasion reminded me that hosting isn’t about perfection—it’s about creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable and cared for.

The Beauty of Everyday Living

Beyond the big moments, it’s the everyday rituals that make a house feel like home. Slow mornings with coffee in the kitchen, rainy afternoons curled up by the window, seasonal décor swaps that bring new life into familiar spaces—all of these little things add up to the bigger story of home.
