I doubt I’m the only one who has been noticing that lately polka dots have been certainly having their moment! To be honest I’ve never been a polka dot girl fearing they were a bit childish but there are tons of brands much like Target’s A New Day (dress pictured) that take the age old trend and make it wearable for adults!
Polka Dots can be anything you want them to be, retro, classic, everyday and much more! I chose to let me A New Day Polka Dot dress stand out on it’s own and paired it with very simple, white beaded earrings from Bauble Bar’s Target Collection known as Sugarfix! (they were only $12.99 like much of the collection’s earrings!) and my Gold Knotted Mules also from Target! What are your thoughts on Polka Dots?!
Can you guys believe Valentine’s Day is less than a month away? I mean it’s really in just 3 short weeks which is crazy! I’ve always been a fan of Valentine’s Day ( well maybe not always but I love it now). On Jeff and Mine’s first Valentine’s Day, I came home from work to rose petals leading me inside and wine paired with Steak and Lobster Tail! Something about the day is just so magical – there is love in the air and you can really feel it! For Valentine’s Day this year I wanted to provide you with some outfit options for any scenario in your life! Whether you’re heading to the new Steakhouse for dinner, Going bowling with all your favorite coupled friends or grabbing brunch Downtown, I’ve got a look for you!

Hi guys! I know it’s been awhile but I promise I didn’t forget about you all. This past weekend and week really was spent celebrating Jeff’s birthday so I was busy putting together quite a few surprises! But I wanted to share this post with you! I know you’re all always asking me about Brunch Spots in Orlando because obvs Jeff and I are major brunchers. So this past Sunday I took Jeff to the Stubborn Mule for his birthday brunch!
I ordered The Coachmen (veggie potato hash with cheese fondue) and added Maple Bacon and a side of Smoked Gouda Grits (ah-mazing!) and Jeff ordered the Cloud Nine which was Pastrami, Breakfast Potatoes and more between an Asiago Bagel (huge and delicious) We sat outside on the beautiful sunny morning and indulged in bottomless mimosas. There was live music and we were just off Lake Eola, if you’re in Orlando I definitely suggest the Stubborn Mule for Brunch and Happy Hour!
Some of you commented on my instagram asking about my outfit worn that day! I love this mini cotton dress (similar here) (it’s the dress I wore the day I purchased my wedding gown!) I wore one of my favorite denim jackets (from old navy) thrown over my shoulders and the most perfect Sam Edelman sandals. I grabbed my Henri Bendel Mini Carryall (no longer available via the brand)that Jeff bought for me the day he proposed and threw my Maison Coco NY flower strap on it! Super cute and casual – perfect for brunch!
Anywhoo, tonight after work I’m going to my Henri Bendel store for a little Bendel Girl’s Night Out! There will be snacks and of course champs! They’ll be revealing the new collection and allowing us to shop it with a little discount in the air! Gotta love those events. I’ve got my eye on a few pieces in this new Retro collection because about a week ago I got a sneak peak AND the collection officially dropped online yesterday! Between the Binocular Bag, the Mini Suede Bag and the Tilda (from the last collection) I am sold and the Binocular Bag is definitely in the running! I’ll be back later this week with a little bag reveal and review!
DETAILS: WHITE BLOUSE || GOLD MULES || PENCIL SKIRT; VINTAGE || EARRINGS
Hey Guys! So last week when I posted this look on my Instagram I got tons of questions about it! Can you believe this skirt is from 5 years before I was even born? A friend’s mom had it and it was thrown in storage, so while cleaning my friend grabbed it for me! How fun is that, a 30 year old turquoise, leather pencil skirt! Similar here So perfect for Summer and I had the perfect look to pair it with. This white ruffle sleeve blouse is from Forever21 and I snagged it on the tail end of last year. I thought the white and turquoise went perfect together. This skirt can be worn with a blouse like this or even dressed down with a fun rocker tee. The gold knotted mules are by DV Style and were purchased from Target just a few weeks ago! I’ll definitely be going back for more colors because I’ve determined the Mule is the perfect day time heel! And the perfect accessory, these Bauble Bar Geometric Statement earrings!
This past weekend a close family friend ( much like a younger sister to me) had a brunch at the Downtown Orlando Citrus Club to celebrate her graduating from High School. It was such a great time and of course I loved a reason to put together a great look and be out and about!
I had no idea what I was going to wear and decided to make a run to Target – with all the collaborations they’ve done recently I knew it would be a breeze to find something and I was definitely right! I tried on dozens of dresses that were all beyond cute before find the one that I just loved! From the color and pattern to the fit and detail this A New Day polka dot dress was absolute perfection, especially for a brunch. I paired the look with these DV Style Gold mules with the knot detail and the gold statement Sugarfix by BaubleBar for Target earrings. I mean How fun is the look overall?
