Hey guys! So today I’m sharing some places you guys HAVE to visit when you come to Orlando. This isn’t a list of my absolute favorite places but a few places here in Orlando that I think have a great atmosphere and of course great food (and drinks!) Let’s jump right into it!
Let’s start with Blu on the Avenue because brunch might just be my favorite meal of the day (or at least the week) Blue on the Avenue is located in the heart of Winter Park right on Park Ave. Surrounded by shops, restaurants and people with little furry friends this place has a killer atmosphere and great food! If you come on a weekend and more specifically a Sunday be prepared to wait but I promised the Corn Grits, with Sunnyside Up Eggs and Beef Goulash (pictured above) are so worth it!
Everyone who know me knows I love a good drink! The Dapper Duck is filled with the young crowd that I love! Not younger than me of course but a fun crowd. With a very bar feel and bar food, Dapper Duck is the perfect place to stop in for lunch, dinner, or when you need to sober up from a night of drinking; it is right on Orange Ave in the mix with all the nightlife Downtown Orlando has to offer. I’ve never been to Canada but this place makes a damn good poutine and I don’t think i’d want to try it anywhere else!
Pig Floyd’s, Guys seriously this place is to die for! I’m never craving BBQ but this is BBQ on steroids – because it’s BBQ with a twist! Pig Floyds is in the Mills 50 District and is surrounded by street art and hipsters and Jeff and I absolutely love it! From tacos, to sandwiches and everything in between, Pig Floyd’s is the perfect place to grab a beer, sit on the patio and enjoy some food!

So if you follow me on Instagram then you definitely saw that this Saturday I took my little sister to Universal Studios and Island of Adventure and guys can you believe we’ve been living in Orlando for 14 years and she has never been? Crazy I know so I just had to bring her!
I’m gonna start by saying I didn’t take a bunch of pictures but I did record it all on a vlog which you can watch on my youtube here!
The two major highlights of her day were riding the Hulk and the Butterbeer
But I thought to myself if people are anything like me then what to wear and bring can sit in your mind for awhile! Anyone who know me knows I always want to look cute but still be comfortable and functional and the weather this weekend was beyond perfection! Super sunny but it wasn’t hot at all! So for me what did that mean? Leggings!! I wore a pair Pink by Victoria’s Secret Lycra workout leggings and a tank top. I of course wore a sweatshirt over my tank that was on almost the entire time and sneakers!! One thing I have to stress to you guys is wear comfortable sneakers!! I wore a pair of adidas, when you’re waiting in lines for 45 minutes and more a shoe with no support like a converse is going to quickly ruin your day!
My last Theme Park Tip is bring a comfortable bag!
SO I opted for my Henri Bendel West 57th Backpack. This backpack is super perfect for theme parks one because it’s a back pack but it’s also pretty small (perfect for the lockers) and it’s cute! Everything I needed fits inside and it wasn’t heavy at all!
What Was In My Backpack? Theme Park Addition
1. A Card Holder
2. A Coin Purse for cash, tickets and change
3. Sunglasses and Case
4. Seeing glasses and contacts case
5. A Granola bar
6. Vlogging camera (mine is a SonyA5000)
7. Chapstick and Lipgloss
How was your first time at the theme parks? What do you wear and what are the essentials in your bag?
As an Orlando Blogger I feel like it’s my job to keep everyone informed on great things I find in this city! Well guys I have officially stumbled upon one of the greatest Vintage storefronts and you’ll never guess where! The Dillard’s in the Florida Mall.
This past weekend I spent the day with my family mall hopping while my sister was doing her back to school shopping. Midway through the day we left the Millennia Mall and ended up at the Florida Mall, we always park and enter through Dillard’s because its super easy to find parking, we walked in and there it was, the Vintage Designer! As I quickly began looking at all the Louis Vuitton (so many Speedy B’s I’m obsessed with), the Vintage Lady Dior(one of my personal favs!), the Gucci and more I was greeted by the Vintage Director herself, Jill. With her bubbly personality, very apparent love for designer handbags AND accessories we quickly struck up conversation.
When I saw the display available in store I literally lost my mind! Anyone who knows me knows one bag I’ve wanted since purchasing my first Louis Vuitton which was a Speedy 35, is the Speedy 25 Bandouliere and ladies the Vintage Designer in Dillard’s at the Florida Mall had quite a few. While talking with Jill I also noticed an Epi Leather Alma BB, A cream Vintage Lady Dior, a few Small Leather Goods and so much more! I was literally stunned and honestly like a kid in a candy store I wanted everything I saw (we all know I’m such a handbag girl) One bag in particular stuck out and I just had to look at it! An Hermes Birkin! The bag was in a glass case and I must say was in pristine condition- one thing I noticed while looking around is that every bag was in great condition, looked new and guys, the prices were great!
With my birthday in just 12 days I know where I’ll be looking for my gift!
If you’re interested in any bags reach out to Jill and be sure to visit her at the Dillards in the Florida Mall! If you’re not in the Orlando area follow her social accounts:

Check her out because I certainly plan on grabbing a few things for my ever growing bag collection!
Today’s spotlight on the blog is on Pig Floyds Urban Barbakoa in Orlando Fl. This BBQ restaurant is on Mills and let me tell you it is one of the best! Jeff and I frequently visit this hip place and always love the food – if you’re like us and prefer to do without the fat make sure you order lean meat! Above pictured are my Brisket Tacos – that’s not exactly what they’re called (La Vaca Tacos) Jeff’s Mills 50 which is the Cheesesteak ( I believe made with Brisket) and fries and of course 2 street corn on the cobs- DELISH!! If you’re in the Orlando area I highly suggest checking out Pig Floyd’s.
Anyone who knows Jeff and I know that we are ALL ABOUT trying new places- the secret goal of ours is to eat at every restaurant, bar & food truck in the city! This weekend Jeff and strolled into this new bar downtown The Dapper Duck, even at 2 in the afternoon it had a pretty good crowd. I just wanted to go out for a drink however I will say their menu was very different and looked pretty good! We decided to split the Poutine with Hand Cut Fries and I have been dreaming of them since. The gravy was the perfect consistency and the cheese curds where just perfect to have 1 in every bite!
